How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4484666 / WD12X10304 Dishwasher Rack Slide End Cap

Recieved end caps in 2 days and snapped into place on both rack rails, Done! Thank you 

The fix was apparent: I needed a new end cap. After a quick internet search, I was pleased to find Appliance Parts Pros' website, and further pleased to learn that they had the parts I needed. Since the parts were available and so inexpensive, I ordered a full set of four, to take advantage of the shipping cost. The purchase process was efficient and I was done in about two minutes. I received an immediate confirmation of the transaction via email. And subsequent email contacts to confirm the delivery process was underway and when to expect delivery. The delivery was very fast: only two days. Looking back, I could not have driven to a retail outlet and made the purchase as quickly and easy and as affordably as through the internet connection with Appliance Parts Pros. 

Found the replacement part and just popped it in. Works just like it should. Not dropping the drawer full of dishes all over the floor or having to do a elaborate balancing act with two hands and a foot to get it balanced. 

Took off end caps, replaced the rollers and end caps. Couldn't have been easier, thanks to the youtube videos! While doing this I noticed where the spray cap should go (that broke a few years ago, I had the replacement part but didn't know where to put it) Put that in place and viola! Energy Saver function now working! I used the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the end cap tabs.

Replaced all four Rack Slide End Caps, the broken ones as well as their stalemates which were ready to crack too. 

Ordered parts from Appliance Parts Pros on a Friday afternoon and they were delivered Fed-Ex on Monday morning! I couldn't believe such speed as I did not pay for any special shipping. Anyway, Appliance Parts video was also quite explicit to my repair and I fixed the axles and rollers plus new end caps in about 5 minutes. I've used this firm once before and their delivery time was quicker than anticipated and their on-line assistance was, simply, excellent, so I used them again and will only use them in the future for such repairs. Excellent service! 

Changed necessary parts 

Purchased replacement Roller & Stud Assembly 4 pack and 2 rack slide end caps. Parts came in very fast and I had them installed in under 10 minutes. There was even a helpful video on the AppliancePartsPros site which I didn't need but made it easy for a non-DIY customer to do the work. 

Wife complaint to fixed in 3 days (including initial "I'll get to it sometime"). The replacement parts are slightly different design (upgraded part numbers) but all worked perfectly. Extremely fast shipping. Price may seem high for shipping in comparison to the parts, but consider your time and gas to pick them up locally someplace and it's a bargain. Couldn't find a better deal on the parts+sh anywhere. Recommend ordering two of everything you need if cheap, especially the upper rack end caps. Makes the shipping more even and the second endcap will probably break coming out if it's been in the dishwasher a number of years. Will shop here again I'm sure!
