How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3860678 / WB30T10099 Radiant Element

Diagnosing the problem, it seemed the actual element was the faulty component. So I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Although the part was back ordered, the part eventually came in. Packaging was excellent. Took the oven door off, unscrewed the display panel, unscrewed the stove top and replaced the radiant element which I found out is blown. The linkage to the two elements burned cleanly off. The job took a little under 60 minutes, and only needed a screw driver and a wrench set. Easy fix. 

My son and I basically took apart the GE Profile stovetop and replaced the element. One wire would not come off, was a real pain in the ###. There was some confusion putting it back together but it was figured out. A good learning experience for my son. 

Ordered the replacement part. 

Purchase new burner. 

Replaced it myself. Your video made it seem very easy. And it was. 

We ordered a new large burner and now it works Great

Ordered Replacement element from AppliancePartsPros.com, received and installed it. Worked fine. 

Unplug it from the outlet source. Take of the 2 (1/4") ft screws and lifted up the glass (hold it up in place with cardboard). Take a picture of the connections for reference, then with screwdriver and/orpliers take of cables. Now take of the 2 screws holding the burner, the put the new one and reverse the process. 

Ordered part from appliance parts pro. Removed cook top, disassembled, removed old burner and replaced with new one. Repair video was available on the appliancepartspro.com website and was helpful with the repair.
