How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5805160 / WE01X20374 Timer Knob

Ordered a new Timer Knob from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Ordered a new one from you. It was the correct one. Put it on and all is well. 

Ended up replacing the whole timer unit and it was super easy, 

Looked up the part number on Appliance Parts Pro and ordered a new one. There are so many knobs and I had to enlarge the image to match the correct part. Once the part arrived (earlier than promised) I installed it without any problem. 

The timer on the clothes dryer wasn't working and my wife was talking about a new dryer, again. I had seen a video that the timer knob would crack and you could not set the dryer time. I ordered the part, received it in 2-3 days, slid the new knob on and it's drying again, and I don't have to buy a new dryer. This is the second time you've saved me; the first I ordered a new dryer fuse when there was no electric and that fixed that issue. You're reasonable, have lots of technical support videos and drawings, and ship the part super quick. Well done! 

I purchased a new starter piece because the inside of this piece no longer worked to start the load. I replaced it over 6 mths ago. I purchased another one in case I have the same problem but don't currentlyneed it. I purchased a new knob to adjust timer. Glad to see a secure piece of metal to prevent easy cracking. It went right into place and is working fine. No tools needed. Slid right into position.
