How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2024962 / WB26X10038 Turntable Motor

The motor needed changed. There were 7 small screws that needed to be removed to swing the panel down and reveal the motor. I unplugged the electrical to the motor and then there were 2 small screws to remove the motor. Replaced the motor, plugged the power to it and replaced the panel with the 7 screws. The entire job took less than 10 minutes and works great. 

Your website had the parts I needed. I ordered them. Received them the next day. Installed them and it was fixed. Thanks Very Much!!! 

Easy and fast follow their instructions. make sure disconnect microwave. no problems. 

Replaced the drive motor on my GE above stove microwave. Took about 7 or 8 minutes. Works great with no noise now. Really a bad design on GE's part. Moisture from boiling anything on the range top is the issue with the motor going bad. It should be sealed some way to prevent this. 

Watched a YT video on how to change the turntable motor. 

Ordered the parts, watched the youtube videos, figured my husband and I could do it ourselves. We did and saved $150.00 to boot. I just followed the instructions on the video provided by the good folks at AppliancePartsPros.com! It was easy. Side Note: I could have easily ordered the wrong part, but chatted online with a very helpful person, Nathan, who 1) steered me to the correct part and 2) matched the price from another seller so I could get a good deal from my favorite place to buy appliance parts. 

Unplugged microwave. Took off the bottom cover, 7 screws. Removed bad motor and replaced with new motor. Two screws to remove motor and unplug cable to lights. Replaced screws, Put bottom cover back on and plugged back in. Worked fine. Easy. 

Googled for a fix, selected your site, found the part and the 'how to' video quickly and ordered it. Part arrived in a day and a half, took 10 minutes total time to replace. This is the exact GE replacement part at half the price found elsewhere. Thank you, I have your site bookmarked. Anita 

I ordered the turntable motor from AppliacePartsPro which arrived in two days. I followed the video provided on the website on my laptop as I installed the motor I am a 75-year-old female - it took me about 30 minutes to change out the motors. It would have been even faster but the bottom panel could not be removed completely because of grout from the backsplash covering the back edge of the panel and it was a bit tricky to maneuver. Had to find a very short handled screwdriver. The turntable now turns and all is well. Couldn't be more pleased!
