Daniel O Cazenovia , NY June 27, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Washer WCVH6800J2WW Ge front load washer was leaking Replaced Water Inlet Pipe and Dispenser Seal. GE would not give me the service manual, and I work for GE. So, paid someone on eBay $1.90 for a PDF document. Found a YouTube video that showed the likely cause of the leak, which was correct, but did not show all steps. The service manual filled in the blanks. Ordered these two parts from AppliancePartsPros.com, paid only for standard shipping, and FedEx dropped them off the next day! Read More... Clyde B Shelby , NC January 16, 2015 The front load washer was leaking in the front left hand corner at the bottom of the machine Replaced the water inlet pipe which had cracked. However I discovered that a small amount of water was still splashing out around the door gasket when the washer is tumbling. Now I will go back and replace it. The online videos are extremely helpful. There are lots of screws to remove as you take off various parts to get down to the part that needs replacing. I taped the screws for each separate part to a sticky note and labeled it so I would remember what went where. I also stuck the sticky notes to a cookie sheet in the order that I removed them. That helped A LOT because I was interrupted during the repair job and did not get back to it until the next morning. I also had to unplug all the wires from the control panel, so I made a couple close-up pictures of it with my cell phone camera before unplugging them - that helped also. Read More... Art S Chula Vista , CA December 30, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Washer WCVH6800J2WW Water leaking from washing machine dispenser Purchased a $14 part from AppliancePartsPros after learning the repair guy was going to charge me $197.00 to do the work. Instead of paying the guy to do it for me. I bought the $14 part and went to work taking apart my washing machine to get to it. It was not the easiest fix, but I did get the job done and the leak is fixed. I was kind of set back on the quality of parts that GE uses for their machines. GE seems to ensure you will need to replace parts on a washing machine within the first five years. I miss the days when you bought a washing machine and it lasted 20 years. GE especially seems to be in the busy to nickle and dime their customers instead of making good quality products. I will probably need to change this part again in another three to four years, but at least I know I can come to AppliancePartsPros to get what I need and fix any issues.... thanks Read More... Chris M Westminster , CO December 28, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Washer WCVH6800J1WW Water leaking and showing up underneath the washer I took the washer apart by first taking off the back of the control panel then the top panel of the washer. I then removed the control panel, lower front panel of the washer and finally the main front panel where I was able to see the filler tube (water inlet pipe) was cracked where it joined the soap dispenser. I ordered a new water inlet pipe and figured I would replace the dispenser seal since I was already there from Appliancepartpros.com. Parts came in 2 days and I was able to put everything back together and I have no more water leaking. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Screwdrivers
