How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5681794 / FAA30970901 Washer Drum Spider Bolt

Took it apart and replaced bearings, seal, tub gasket 

Replaced the rotor assembly, all went well. But what made me so happy about all this, was the lighting fast shipping from Appliance Parts Pro. I ordered it on Wednesday and received it on Thursday. we did not have to wait at all! I will do all of my appliance repairs through you guys! Awesome!!! 

Purchase all my necessary supplies from the website 

I own a collision repair shop so I hauled the washer to work to fix it. I disassembled the washer and laid out all the parts on a table in the order they were removed along with the fasteners with each piece. After disassembled the drum I laid it across two blocks of wood to remove the bearings. I removed the seal with a screwdriver sprayed wd40 on the bearings and then used a air hammer with long blade to remove them they came out easily. I used the old bearings to place over the new ones and tapped them in with a hammer. I had ordered the two bearings the seal the bolt that hols the spider the spider and the seal between the two drums halves just in case and had all the parts I needed. The bearings and seal might have beeb all I needed but for the extra money it was worth it not to have to worry about ordering more parts. Repair went very smoothly and washer is very quiet now when spinning. Repair video was very helpful and parts came very quickly.

We purchased both bearings, the seal and the spider assembly. We used the appliance pro's step by step video to repair our washing machine. 

Replaced spider,front and rear bearings and seals. It was very difficult to remove inner tub from outer tub housing doing it the way the repair video shows. I finally just installed the 17mm bolt back into shaft and used a 5lb sledge hammer to hit bolt head directly and inner tub finally feel out. Bought new 17mm bolt for reinstall even though old bolt looked ok. Had little problems removing the bearings with a punch. Put new bearings in freezer overnight before installing in outer tub and they installed with no issues. Completed the rest of the assembly and started a load of laundry asap. Washer performed just like the first day I bought it new no error codes and no noises. Parts were shipped asap received within 1 1/2 days and repair video was great for do it yourselfers. 

It went well ,I used some advice from other repairs like I had to use a bolt to bang out drum from tub. I didn't have an old one I used existing one then I ordered a new one. I think the hardest part Was the knocking out of spider shaft from inner tub the rest was real easy,about three to four hours each way meaning take apart then put together. The best advice I can give is take it apart first then order parts,also if your doing the bearings and seal change the spider too,I mean depending on how old the unit is. Mine was 11 years old ,my spider wasn't bad ,but for 70 bucks you'll regret it if it goes bad cause you where too proud or excuse my French too cheap. Also change tub seal its5 bucks worth it. All in all,my cost was 140 dollars with shipping,runs great. That's what a repair man would charge just to come to your house.and yes a tip from other repair when you take out back shock last is swivels forward and shock comes apart,easy to put together again ,I saw two brown strips on floor didn't know what they where,then I remember the other review tip. Total time 6 hours and I'm a mechanic,imagine what repair people would charge for this good luck to all,go for it it's easy.
