I had previously replaced the two bearings supporting the tub, along with the seal, but had neglected to replace the spider where the seal rides. After 6-7 months the seal had allowed enough water to bypass that the primary bearing had failed again. This time I replaced the spider, both bearings, the seal and the nut that holds the rotor onto the spider. I had damaged the nut removing the tub from the bearings the first time and knew going in that I would need that. The first repair was very time consuming and I had to really beat the tub shaft out of the bearings as they were quite stuck, this time I knew what I was doing and was in and out in about half the time.
