I replaced the detergent box assembly (now that section doesn't fill up with water). The washer came with our house purchase and apparently was not used for quite some time. There was quite a lot of build-up under the door gasket. It was gross, I'm not gonna lie! I used the washer cleaner and also scrubbed underneath the gasket as much as I could. After several washes and wiping down the gasket after each wash, my laundry is now smelling clean.
