How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5248797 / 5006EA3009B Pulsator Cap

Pulled the old one, put the new Pulsator Assembly in, and tighten the bolt. 

I ordered and replaced the Pulsator Assembly and the Pulsator Cap. 

Using the model number of the washer. AppliancePartsPros.com enabled me to find the part I thought I needed, checked to see if it was compatible with my washer, and suggested two other parts I would need. It was very simple to attach the new plate using the parts ordered. 

Search YouTube for the problem. I came across your repair video and saw that it depicted the same problem and saw you offered the part. I ordered the part right away. 

I looked up some reasons as to why it popped off (& kept coming off when bolt tightened...needed new agitator. Ordered it, and a new cap as I didn't play nice enough when taking off old one.) Watched the "how to" repair video. I was able to fix it in around 10 minutes. Used this site/company years ago with fridge water dispenser problems, so I knew the parts were good quality and videos are exactly the same as actual repair.

This was extremely easy. The old washplate had the grooves stripped. The new one was snug and took some time to line up and slide into place by tightening the screw. The washer prevented the screw from catching the threads so I skipped that. The washer wasn't on the original, which probably contributed to the washplate getting stripped. But it lasted 6 years. Hopefully I can get a few years out of this washplate. Took about 20 minutes from start to finish. 

Took the old one off and snapped the new one on.
