How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5214765 / MEE61841401 Oven Ignitor

Replaced the oven ignitor. Really easy fix. 

F19 code on LG oven. Removed door, floor of oven, heat shield and ignitor 

Oven failed to reach temperature in required time F9 error code. Bought new ignitor and fixed it. 

Replaced the igniter, super easy repair and the part was perfect 

Ordered the ignition control for the oven. Glow plug. 

Purchased stove in 2015, LG convection stove. Replaced igniter and fan motor once, about 4 years after purchase. 2024, had to replace the igniter again. For my model, it’s a little annoying because you have to take the back and front panels off, but it’s just screws. Works fine again. Does get more than average use in my house. 

I have a LG stove with double gas ovens. The bottom oven stopped being able to heat up. After a few minutes, the stove returns a F19 error code. I replaced the igniter (Part# MEE61841401 on the bottom oven and it was working again. I unplugged the oven from the outlet and turned off the gas. I removed the bottom oven door but you can probably do it with removing it. I had to unplug the igniter from the back of the oven and then remove the following: 1. Bottom oven cover - 2 screws at the front 2. Flame guide - 2 screws at the front 3. Nozzle case - 1 screw. The nozzle case covers the junction point where the burner assembly connects to the gas supply. 4. Burner Assembly - 2 screws. The burner assembly is the actual gas burner that heats the oven up. The igniter is connected to the burner assembly. Disconnect it from burner assembly (2 screws) and replace with the new working igniter. Reverse the instructions above and repair should be complete. Remember to plug oven back into the electrical outlet and turn gas back on. 

Replaced the igniter. This has been consistent over the last couple of years. 

We had to take the bottom oven apart and remove the back of the stove to replace it. Now works perfectly! Only challenging because my husband is on crutches 

Ordered a new ignitor from appliancepartspros.com, replacement was very easy, and works great.
