Lloyd S Selma , NC March 08, 2019 Appliance: Model DLE5955W (ABWEEUS) Dryer produced no heat, ran fine otherwise I decided to replace the Heater Assembly and Thermistor since I didn't want to disassemble and re-assemble the dryer several times trying to figure out exactly which part was an issue. For $172 I replaced all the parts that deal with heat. Was most likely the Heater Assembly. It was full of dryer lint/dust. Amazing to me how much lint and dust gets inside the cavity of the dryer and how in the world it's never caught fire is a miracle. I took the time to clean every part that was removed especially the lint filter area. It had a LOT of lint trapped down below the actual lint filter. Vacuumed out the entire dryer cabinet. Runs like new again. Be sure to search YouTube thoroughly for videos on how to do this repair. Kevin M Bend , OR October 13, 2018 No heat with my lg dryer had same problem previously. Replaced both exhaust vent thermostats. Repair video was extremely helpful. Just placed my laptop on the neighboring washing machine and used the pause button between each step. Took less than an hour to switch out th e parts. Probably saved 150 $ in service costs. Maybe more since there isn't an LG service center in my city!! Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
