Cristina G Belcamp , MD February 18, 2018 Appliance: Model DLE5955W (ABWEEUS) Lg dryer running but no heat/ burn smell Hello. Initially clothes would take more cycles to dry completely until one day just stopped working and it smelled like burned "dog hair" and I don't have pets.I found out the vent was dislodged inside so all the lint and heat was going into the dryer instead of outside. I don't know if this is a factory defect. I changed all 3 thermostats and the thermistor. The high limit thermostat was clearly burnt and the thermistor had the red wire melted. I changed all of them just to make sure. Didn't changed the moisture sensor yet because you need to,order 2 and not one lol plus wasn't necessary because changing parts above mentioned ,fixed the problem. Had to vacuum rolls of lint that been accumulated there for probably 10 years , that was the nasty part. I say that putting it back together took a little time but overall was easier than I thought. Thank you again appliancepartspros. Fixed my washer machine and now my dryer thanks to you guys. Women, don't be scared , I did it twice now , easy , saved me a lot of money. Terry C Lago Vista , TX February 26, 2017 Appliance: LG Dryer DLE2532W No heat Replaced upper limit, and thermostat On this particular dryer, (This one was an LG DLE 2532W...but it is similar to a lot others) I took the one screw out holding the vent pipe (on the back of the dryer) pulled it out, and you could see both thermostats on your left. The screws are a bit awkward to get out, but I tipped the unit up (front on the wall with a towel to protect the wall and the dryer) and was able to access both thermostats thru the opening that the vent tube's removal left. Mike L East Sparta , OH February 15, 2020 Appliance: Model DLE3733W (ABWEEUS) Would take two runs to get the clothes dry. Replaced the heater, took maybe and hour and half just because while I had it apart, I cleaned all the excess lint and dust out of it. Otherwise I think would have take about 30-45 minutes The video provided made this an easy repair. All though the high limit thermostat it suggested was bought at sane time as the heater was already on the new heater purchases so now I have two new ones. Don’t buy that with the heater. I did replace the thermostat assembly while I had it apart was one screw and a plug took less than a minute to change.
