How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5675952 / AEQ73110203 Ice Maker Assembly Kit

New ice maker assembly. 

Replaced ice maker. We used the video provided on YouTube. We did find that there were a couple more steps not covered in the video. There was also a grounding wire on the back. The tape needs to be pulled back, the wire removed and the new one attached and taped back up. Didn't cause my husband too much trouble but did add some time to the repair. Also, the plastic plugs are always more difficult to undo than the videos portray. 

I went to your web site and watched the video of replacing the icemaker. Seemed simple enough so I ordered it from https://www.appliancepartspros.com/. When it arrived (very quickly) I kept the video playing while I removed the old and installed the new. As with previous repairs I’ve done through APP, it went the way described. 

I had the fridge repaired. I didn't need the ice maker but since I broke a clip trying to replace the old one, I ended up using the replacement after all. 

Ordered a new Ice Maker Assembly and used a YouTube video with instructions on how to install it. Not terrible, at all, to accomplish and solved the problem. 

Ordered the correct replacement unit, removed three screws, changed some wires, and replaced the unit. 

I ordered a new ice maker. It was delivered very fast. I removed the old ice maker, just 7 screws. The new ice maker had an 8 pin connector but mine had a 3 pin connector, so I ordered the wrong one.I then ordered the other listed ice maker. It again came very fast (3 days), It had the right connector and I was able to electrically connect it. My problem came in replacing the screws. The 2 top and bottom and the middle screw aligned ok but the middle left and right screws did not align. I managed to get the middle right screw to align. The middle left screw would not align so I left it out. The ice maker works fine without this screw. 

Ordered a replacement ice maker from you. The replacement took about 20 minutes. There was a great Youtube video that explained the process step by step. 

Bought this part and replaced the whole ice maker. 2 plugs and one sensor placement was easy to do. Less than 20 minutes for the whole project. Phillips head screwdriver and channel locks or crescent wrench were the only tools needed. 

This machine had broken multiple times. When trying to dump the ice, it would get stuck and make this loud clicking sound at all hours of the night. I finally decided to look into replacing it. A quick google search lead me here. The videos, the ease of buying, and even the note to make sure I used the correct model. I wish I would have done this so much sooner! The shipping was super fast and the installation was a breeze. Literally, less than 15 min and we can have a full ice bin.
