How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5675952 / AEQ73110203 Ice Maker Assembly Kit

I removed the old ice maker got the part number off of it ordered the new ice maker. It was a very easy job to do. All you need is a screwdriver. Make sure you turn off the power to the ice maker before you start working on it. I want to thank Appliance Pros for having the parts I need for when ever I have to repair any of my appliances. I save so much money not having to have someone come out to work on my appliances. 

It was a easy job; only thing was not aware that I had to take the whole backside of icemaker off(only three screws) . 30 min job make sure you keep screws from old machine. No screws come with new icemaker 

I contacted appliance part pros and found out that there was several different replacements for my model and after speaking to the representative I was able to get the correct part! upon receiving the part I was able to replace it my self and saving $100 or more in repair costs!!!!! 

Removed ice maker to see if it has a three or six wire connector. Ordered the part late afternoon, and received new one next day. Took approximately 25 minutes to replace it. 

Replaced ice maker only three screws holding assembly in compartment, and one connector. 

Replaced Ice Maker Assy 

Replaced ice maker with a new unit. Called a couple of local repair shops and was quoted $350.00 cost for them to come to my home and install a new unit. Saved nearly 50% doing the job myself and I received the part to my home via delivery from FedEx in two (2) days!! 

New ice maker assembly kit. I spoke with Cher in customer service. The video only showed an easy plugin for a 6 wire plug. I had a 3 wire plug that needed the ground wire to be connected to the motor which was not a problem. (I am a talented guy) It's been in for 2 days and so far no problems. 

I ordered a new model part that is compatable to my original ice maker and I took the old one out and put the new one in. Just a few screws, phillips screw driver and a few wires
