How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5675953 / AEQ73110205 Icemaker (14 Cube)

Swapped out the old icemaker for the new one. The wiring harness didn't match, so I just took it off, and wired the connectors directly into the box. Took an extra 5 minutes. Works great! 

Bought new ice maker and husband installed it. 

Found the part on your website, watched the video twice then changed the part .very easy. 

I first removed the unit and used two screws to reconstruct and stabilize. When it cracked again, I re-stabilized by inserting a spacer between the top of the right end and the top of the cabinet. This stopped any upward movement of right end during the tray emptying function. That worked, but the tray was still not emptying completely. I removed the tray and cleaned calcium deposits from each cube cups. This finally solve all problem, but eventually I was moved to replace the unit with a new 14 cup tray, which although a bit of a hassle to replace, the smaller cubes definitely dispense much better. 

We bought a new ice maker from APPros and we installed it using their video tutorial. 

Order a new part, watched the install video on the website. It was a simple easy fix!

Ordered a new icemaker from AppliancePartsPros.com. Arrived in two days, took me about 30 minutes to remove the old icemaker and install the new one. Works like new!!! 

Found the part on your website and replaced it. All works fine. I was hesitant about ordering it because the post had been redesigned it went from a 12 cube tray to a 14 cube tray and the tube was in the opposite side. But the wiring plugs were the same.
