I just replaced the self adhering control panel and the thermostat. Open up section behind control panel and saw the thermostat had burnt through the wires connecting it to the chassis. This may have been caused by using the improper light bulb in the microwave. I saw other saying the light is special and need to replace with the original type. So replaced both and cut back the bad connections on the thermostat.
