How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7220429 / 4581EL2002L Roller Kit

Replaced all four drum rollers. Problem solved. AppliancePartsPros video made the repair job a “piece of cake”. 

Replaced the rollers, belt and idler drum pulley. 

My LG Dryer started squealing a couple months ago. It was really annoying, but it would go away after it warmed-up so my wife and I agreed to ignore it for a while. I researched and was prepared to order new drum rollers. On Wednesday, the dryer started making a completely different sound, as if there was something holding back. I knew the roller finally seized. I ordered four replacements. After doing so, I started preparing the dryer for repair. There was black rubber "dust" in the front of the cabinet. I looked at the middle/right roller and saw it had a flat spot. I could barely turn it and the left roller was seized, as well. I followed the replacement video instructions that AppliancePartsPros.com had for the roller and cleaned everything inside. Everything went well and now our dryer works quietly and efficiently again. 

Ordered four new drum support rollers. After watching the repair video and seeing that it was an easy repair. I also purchased a new belt as well, figuring while I was in there I might as well replace it. Video was very informative and the repair went smoothly. 

I ordered new drum rollers and a drum drive belt from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched a You-Tube video which showed exactly how to take the dryer apart and replace the rollers. I then followed the directions and replaced all the rollers on our dryer. Since I had it apart, I also replaced the drum drive belt. When I put the dryer back together, it ran like new! 

Looked on YouTube for disassembling video. 

Watched the video on AppliancePro.com took the dryer apart according to instructions. I found the damaged roller. I ordered the part and followed the video for reassembly. Pretty straight forward job for anyone comfortable with a screw driver and box wrench. While I was in there I ordered and replaced all four roller assemblies and the belt! 

Replaced all four rollers and the drive belt just to make sure everything was in good working order. I wish I had replaced or replied the two felt liners on the drum because they look a bit off center. The dryer works great with no noise though. 

Replaced the rollers and drum belt. Parts from appliance parts pro were perfect fit. Videos were a plus. It took me longer than it should but I cleaned up the inside of dryer cabinet (dust). Plus cleaned the hair that was wrapped around blower shaft. 

Replaced all four drum rollers.
