How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6027671 / 4434ER0002H Washer Tub Spider Assembly

Replaced them. 

Replaced the spider and door gasket. Watched the video on how to do the repair and was pretty easy. Runs great now. 

Bearings/seal. 

Initially I ordered a door seal (bellows), both bearings, rear seal, tub assembly seal and spider. Once the machine was dismantled, I could only loosen 1 of the 6 bolts when trying to remove the spider from the inner tub and ended up ordering a new inner tub. I would advise buying the whole inner tub which comes with the spider already attached. The entire job wasn't too bad for me. The APP videos are very detailed and made the job go well. Sure beats spending $2000.00 for a new machine. Good Luck. 

I watched a couple videos and saw one with the same issue. I chatted online with a representative and ended up ordering a new spider. This part is bolted to the back of the washer drum. with the help of your video, I was able to complete the repair with no issues. Washer sounds so much better. Turns out that the spider was cracked. 

Put on new spider, bearings, new seals. Was concerned about bearing removal. One video on internet said it was very difficult. Your video was right on. After repair, washed one pair of jeans to purposely wash something that could put the machine off balance. The train is gone. 

Each spoke of the spider was broken, which made the drum rub up against the tub causing it to get “sliced” open. I replaced the tub as well as the spider and seal. One thing I was not ready for was both the tub and seal had hose fittings at the bottom. I did not buy a hose, but instead “plugged” them both up getting a little creative. If I went towards using the hose, I would’ve had to make an additional purchase of the hose (with clamps) plus I would’ve had to purchase a new tub weight (bottom) because it needed to be slotted to accommodate the hose. Otherwise, everything worked out well. If it weren’t for the video tutorials, I wouldn’t of attempted to do my own repair, so being able to watch the video not only assisted me in doing the repair, it made sense for me to purchase the parts from you guys! 

I followed the steps in appliance parts pros video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-eAvoBI59Y which discusses bearing replacement. Disassembly went ok and when I got the drum out of the tub, the bearings were definitely not spinning smoothly and the spider was cracked. Reassembly had a couple hitches. I didn't quite get one bearing seated fully and when I closed the tub and attached the stator the drum didn't spin freely. So I took it apart again and the second time there was no problem during assembly. Second problem is that I stripped the threads for one of the bolts that hold the tub together. I drilled through and replaced with a nut and bolt. Did a test load with the top and back still off and things were fine. Rear shock absorber rattles and I have that on order. The other tools below were a hammer, punch and a wood block. 

Watched the Appliance Parts Pros video, very helpful. This machine is 13 yrs. old, looks new. I replaced both inner tub bearings and seal. Replaced the inner tub spider, due to pitting where the seal contacts the shaft. The pitting caused the seal to fail and allowed water to enter the bearings. Installed a new outer tub seal ring, where the tub separates. I installed (3) new tub shocks and while apart I replaced the purge pump. This allowed for cleaning of discharge hoses. Wasn't leaking, but also installed a new door seal. For about $400.00 this machine performs like new. I'd like to say, "THANKS", to the staff at Appliance Parts Pros, for making this repair possible. Tore it apart to fix the bearings, but found out wasn't bearings it was the spider. So I ordered the spider form appliance parts pros.com and had in a few days. The project took me about four hours to complete. That was to take apart and put back together.
