How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5676704 / AJH31248608 Sump And Motor Assembly

It was relatively straightforward to fix. Turned off power/water, pulled out the dishwasher and removed the inside baskets and spray arms. I placed the unit on its back and disconnected all hoses and power connectors from the sump assembly. I then took out the two screws that held in the assembly, pushed in the tabs and removed the broken unit. I then cleaned the area inside the dishwasher with a wet towel to get a good deal and installed the new assembly by lining up the arrows (it required considerable force to push it in all the way). When I had the unit out, I removed and cleaned all the hoses as well as the float switch assembly on the left side of the unit. Reconnected everything and works like new! 

Replaced the entire sump pump assembly 

Hired repair man to diagnose, recommend part purchase and then install the part. 

Replaced the motor
