How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP6240655 / DD82-01373A Dishwasher Brake Case Assembly

Samsung dishwasher dw80f600uts(purchased 2014)...replaced the Case Brake Assembly which solved the problem. Very easy to do just unclamping and reclamping of drain and fill tubes and making sure the gasket is put back on the new one before installing. I replaced the check drain (soft and flimsy) and the cutter(was rusty) too because they were inexpensive and since I was working on it already, why not. I had ordered the water valve but returned it, didn't need it since the Case Brake Assembly solved the problem. 

I replace the A/s Assy-Case Brake for the Samsung Model DW80F600utw/AA.

Checked the internet to see what others did with the same problem and ordered the parts accordingly. 

After researching the internet and gathering information, I realized that my Samsung dishwasher had a faulty Case Break. I placed the order with AppliancePartsPros and had the item within 2 days. I couldn't believe it. Very easy part to change. Took me no more than 20 minutes to change the part. Sears wanted $350.00 to do it. Now it's like new again. 

1. I researched "OE" code meaning on internet. 2. I found Youtube video how to repair, step by step, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZY2kvSYQLY (was able to repair without disconnecting electrical hook-up or drain hose.) 3. Next I found this wonderful site to purchase the part.Part arrived in 2 days. 4.Unscrewed dishwasher from counter .Lowered the front legs.Disconnect water hose on front. Pulled dishwasher out. Removed left panel. Inserted new part. The hose clamps can be a little tricky. 5.Installed the part. Total job, 15- 20 minutes.It will take 30 minutes if your really slow. 6. My wife & I are happy again with clean dishes! 

Replaced case brake assembly 

I pulled the dishwasher out from under the cabinet. On the left side of the unit is the Assy-case brake. Inside the dishwasher on the left side remove the water fill screen turning left a quarter turn. Pull the part out and disconnect the two electric clips and the four hoses. Reinstall back the way that it was removed. make sure to use the rubber gasket from the old part back on the new part when the water fill screen is installed. 

A YouTube video provided the encouragement to repair my dishwasher. The part from AppliacePartsPros.com was delivered the next day (wow - faster than Amazon). The part was an exact replacement and my dishwasher is operating fine. Note: My LOCAL appliance parts store wanted DOUBLE the price and would have had to special order the part. Needless to say, I'm saving my info for this company for the next time I need parts! 

Replaced Case Brake Assembly. Note: to remove case brake assembly you must twist off the vent cover inside the dishwasher - left side (counter clockwise 1/4 to 1/2 turn).
