I'm a 50 year old woman and I replaced all four suspension rods on my Samsung washer about 3 years ago and it's been working fine ever since. Recently, my mother's Samsung washer was having the same problem, rocking back and forth during the spin cycle, then shutting off with a DC error code, resulting in soaking wet, heavy clothes left in the washer.
So this time I knew exactly what to do, I ordered the suspension rods from Appliance Parts Pros (they were the cheapest price I saw on the internet) and rewatched their video on YouTube and did the repair in about 40 minutes. It took longer than it should because my mom's washer is in a very cramped space and it was difficult to maneuver around it. Tip: wear gloves, that black grease is very difficult to remove or you can use Goo Gone to wipe it off your skin.
I very grateful for the very clear and well filmed video, it is the best one on this issue and is extremely helpful. Both repairs probably saved about $1000+ from not having to buy 2 new washers. That's another thing... 2 different washer repairmen advised us to just buy new washers. Why don't they want to replace Samsung suspension rods? It's sooo easy! Is it a warranty, liability thing?
