How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5669739 / DC97-16350E Washer Suspension Rod

After my washer continued to go off balance, I did a search to find other people who experienced the same issue. I found Appliance Parts Pros and saw that other people had the same issue and ordered new suspension rods. My husband was able to repair the washer with the new suspension rods using the video provided in under 30 minutes. My washer has been performing perfectly since the repair. 

I looked at the video from AppliancePartsPros.com and followed what the video said to do and fixed my washer with in a few minutes thanks a million AppliancePartsPros.com for your help and the parts. 

Using the new suspension rod supports to replace the old ones made the basin very noticeably more solid and less "bouncy." Before the washer wouldn't even be able to spin a small load of laundry on the lowest setting without going out of balance and throwing error code 'DC.' After installing the new suspension rods the washer handled large loads of towels without any issue. While replacing the rods I also added some lithium grease to the parts that make contact with other parts to give it a little something to slide on and hopefully prevent wear on the plastic parts. 

Replaced all four dampener rods. 

Just followed your video instructions. The parts were an easy replacement and they fit my Samsung washer perfect. I did see some other videos on youtube how to fix the balance error problem, one guy uses foam pads inside the machine, another add 4 pieces of hard rubber to counter act balance problem, nothing but a fools mistakes. Ordered new suspension rods and it fixed the problem. 

After watching lots of videos and reading the comments here I thought the fix couldn't be so simple, but I bought the parts anyway. 15 minutes after receiving them, the wash was fixed and the washer was up and going. This isn't hard. Doooo it! 

I replaced the 4 suspension support rods and works like new again. 

Bought 4 new balance rods took 10 minutes washer works great 

Removed top of washer by removing a small panel in back of washer just under lid that hold some wires in. Then I removed 2 screws in the back and then in the front was a more difficult part I had to grab 2 stiff putty knifes and release the hold pins which can be pretty tricky. Now if you have opted for Samsung "repair" it's a little challenging to get the lid up and out of the way. For my kid I stood it straight up and fastened it to my shelves right above our washer. Now to remove and replace the suspension rods pull up on the drum slightly with one hand and pull the rod up and out of the top holder then pull out the bottom repeat 3 more times and put the lid back on.
