The icemaker in my Samsung refrigerator stopped making ice. Sometimes the ice tray would only fill up with a small amount of water. Sometimes it would fill up all the way, freeze the ice, and the ice cubes would sit in the tray for days without being dumped into the ice bucket. I did the water pressure test, and it was fine. I vacuumed all the air inlet grates to make sure the refrigerator wasn't overheating. I removed the ice bucket and defrosted the freezer. None of those fixed the issue, so I ordered a new ice maker. The ice maker installation was easy. The only tools needed are philips and flat-headed screwdrivers. It took about 20 minutes to remove the old icemaker and install the new one. I let the freezer get back down to 0 degrees and then turned on the new icemaker. It started making ice right away, and the ice bucket was full within 18 hours. It's only been three days since I replaced it, but the new one is working great so far.
