How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP6329377 / DA97-18859A Ice Maker Assembly (Module)

Replaced ice maker and tray assembly. Tried calling Samsung but not very helpful.Talked to local repair people and they state that is a problem with Samsung refrigerators. They no longer service Samsung products. Stated the housing around the ice maker needs to be sealed to prevent air from infiltrating the internal workings of ice maker. Looked at videos of ice maker replacement and they were very helpful. Care must be taken to not bend refrigerant tube extending into ice maker. Also had to take time to dry internal housing of ice maker before sealing external housing with silicone. Encourage some instructions to help DI Y's in replacing parts. Relative easy replacement but took time to get ice maker dry. 

Removed ice maker and replaced with same model from your company. 

It all went very well. Easy to replace and we have ice. 

Bought the correct part and it fit perfect Installed for His Birthday, today, Veterans day 

The repair is easy once you thaw the ice out around the old ice maker so it can be removed. I did refer to an online video a couple of times. Just a side note.. This is the second replacement of the ice maker in two years for the same (icing up) issue. I'm not blaming the part, everyone I know who owns a Samsung french door refrigerator is having the same issue. 

Bought new ice maker from appliance parts pros and installed it. So far after a few days it is working and hopefully it will continue to work. The tipping point to get me to buy was that I can return it if this wasn't the problem and you would even pay the shipping back. Super happy!!! 

Replaced icemaker and bucket. Had to break out frozen water that was causing the icemaker to malfunction 

Replaced the whole unit. 

Installed the ice maker into the refrigerator. Ice maker then worked. Thank you for getting us the part when the local contractor could not. The local contractor installed the unit. I did not. Many sincere thanks and excellent kudos to your staff. Isabel K. 

Replaced it. Had to use hairdryer to melt the ice.
