William D Ann Arbor , MI May 31, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTW/AA-0000 New samsung dishwasher continually defaulting to drain error After reading numerous complaints similar to mine with my Samsung DW80F600utc dishwasher, I was about to trash it but decided to take a chance on replacing the mother board at $119.50 because it matched all of my other Samsung kitchen appliances. The part came quickly and the replacement was a relatively easy half hour job which rectified the problem. The motherboard is accessible at the front below the door so the job did not require pulling the machine out from under the counter. The job consisted of shutting off power to the machine, removing two screws to separate the motherboard and its case from the machine, then carefully releasing seven (all different socket sizes except for two) computer type plugs with needle nosed pliers, then rep lugging them into new motherboard and reattaching the motherboard case with two screws and turning power back on. I'm now keeping fingers crossed that the problem does not return as has been the case with a few others I have read about. If the problem reoccurs, I'm going to a Bosch dishwasher next time. Samsung apparently has a general problem with this model. Read More... 12 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
Steve B Lascassas , TN December 06, 2016 Samsung pos dishwasher with smart auto and heavy light blinking We have two dishwashers and they are both two years old. One has worked fine but this is the third time I've had to work on this one. Every time, it's the same error. The first two times, I was able to change the $43 ECS sensor and fix the problem. This is crazy in itself as the sensor was less than four months old. This time, I replaced the same sensor and got the error anyway. Having two dishwashers allowed me to remove the mother board from the one that was working and install it on the one that wasn't to see if that was the problem, and it was. I ordered the new mother board and swapped it out and now they both work.............again............temporarily. We have five Samsung appliance all bought new two years ago. Every one of them except the stove has required at least two repairs each. This part came really fast and was what I needed. I like this site and company. I don't like Samsung. I'm hoping AppliancePartsPros will also sell replacement parts for the dishwashers I replace these two with!
