How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4365989 / DA67-02056A Refrigerator Cap Handle

Replace hinge components 

I looked at a YouTube video on how to disassemble the door handle and replace the end cap which I successfully did. 

I called a repairman to fix, was told I would need a new door. Called AppliancePartsPros.com and saved about 400.00 dollars. The correct parts were delivered on time. Thanks! 

I watched the videos - they were close but of course, my door handle had no allen set screw - so both sides had to come off together and go back on, together. Both sides needed to be replaced. I was able to get each sides actuator to stay "back" by slipping small screw drivers through the actuator holes to hold them out of the way. That let me reassemble. So, a big thank you for making the videos - huge help ! 

None of the videos available were exact for my handle/door. Had to use a parts image and analyzed how to take the broken part out. The handle was then supported by a cap and I decided to take it all the way off to see if the other cap was close to breaking-it was. Ordered both caps. The installation was easy, except required a person to hold back the spring and another to push the handle in place. Overall shipping was expensive, but I could not find the parts with the other 3 companies I looked at. 

Found out which part was the problem. Found the part on the website using a schematic chart. Ordered the part and received it the next day. Fixed the freezer door handle in 5 minutes. 

Looked up online and found the video on how to repair it .. Then online for the correct Handle End Caps ...When they arrived (without instructions)_, we used the video to guide us and accomplished the repair...Saved over $200 

Replaced the plastic Handle Caps on each end of the handle that hold the handle in place and operated the opening/closing mechanism. Your "How To" videos were GREAT! 

I watched several youtube videos that provide the detail I needed to replace the cap handles and followed their lead. I was surprised so many had this problem with the freezer door handles. It's disappointing they would make one part so cheaply and to ensure it breaks after a few years of use. I was very pleased with the AppliancePartsPros website. Which made it easy to find the correct replacements. 

Both parts were delivered on time and were the right parts, replaced both and took about 15 minutes, the lady that helped with the parts did an excellent job and found the right ones for my model.
