How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4170193 / DA97-01949A Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor

I bought new parts, motor and fan. Replace the old one. Took me no more than 15 minutes to fix it. 

Removed Back Cover. Removed Fan Assembly.Installed New Part. 

I took a picture of the model number and searched for it online (fan motor samsung RS2530BSH) and found the proper condenser fan and ordered it. It installs by sliding the fan out from the fridge and pulling it up, then disconnecting the power, then replacing it with the new unit. 

Found the Condenser Fan to be the issue, where the shaft to the fan had become loose over time: replaced the motor assembly along with a new fan blade (old one glued on): very easy and now quiet. 

Changed out the fan and condenser motor and now it is running great. 

After calling around to several parts places in Charlotte I was given the advise to try your website. I used the online chat and Dustin, the online agent, helped to identify the proper part that I needed. It was approximately $18.00 less before taxes than the comparable part in town. I was reluctant but looked at the reviews and they sounded good. I ordered the part before 4 p.m. EDT on Thursday to make sure it shipped that day. It was only $6.95 which was still considerably cheaper than the price in town and I never had to leave my home. I chose basic shipping with approximate arrival between 2 and 5 business days. This was on a Thursday. The part arrived Saturday, a day and a half later, and my husband fixed it immediately. Appliance Pros has my vote for an A -1 website and parts supplier. I would recommend to anyone that wants to do a DIY and save on service calls. They also had a video to accompany the parts information online. You are a class act!! Happy in Charlotte with my refrigerator running like a charm!! 

Replaced motor, runs like a dream 

Was a simple fix just disconnect all the wiring from mother board pop it out and re connect wiring to the new one and pop it back in. Make sure that you don't have any static electricity built up in your body while touching the board. The condenser fan was fairly easy just have to maneuver it around to get it in place properly. 

I have a Samsung RS 2530 side by side Refrigerator. Removing the fan assembly is real easy to do , Excellent video for replacement on YouTube. Removing the fan blade from the motor is not easy, I had to use two flat bars with considerable force to break it free, and it is easy to break. I recommend if you purchase a replacement motor, go ahead a buy the plastic fan as well for a quick and easy install. 

The fan casing that came with the fridge (its an 8 year old Samsung side by side with water through the door) cracked and broke and was subsequently repaired by a local shop. When that fan failed and lacking the inclination to buy a new fridge just now, I searched for and found this site and figured out I could replace it myself without much difficulty. So I bought the new parts and popped out the old fan and popped in the new one. Less than 5 minutes start to finish and no more heat where it shouldn't be in the fridge.
