How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4224485 / DE64-00760A Microwave Door Latch Hook

Installed replacement door key, which was delivered very fast. 

Went on line, entered the model number and actually chatted with your competition who said it was the fan and I needed an electrician and he would be available for a $37.00 fee .I'm not a genius at repairing, but I knew it was a mechanical issue, so fortunately I found your company and the comment section told me how to get to the part and change it. Being without this appliance is tough on my wife. But the part came Sunday morning early and before she got up, it was now repaired. 

I used the notes and reviews on the AlliancePartsPros website that identified symptoms and a likely fix. They were accurate and helpful. I used YouTube videos for more details. My part came quickly and I made the repair quickly. Highly recommend this approach.

Remove trim strip inside door. Replace latch. Put trim back. It's held in place by clips and there are many YouTube videos on how to do this. Replaced tray. 

Found a YouTube video showing how to repair a MW like ours and once I figured out how to remove the door’s inside trim, it was easy. Used a Sharpie to hide the damage I caused to that trim. 

It was fixed by purchasing the door latch hook part from appliancepartspros.com I used a butter knife to partially pop open the thin inner frame, detached the broken latch hook from the spring and re attached the new latch hook onto the spring and inserted the part back into the door frame. You can look up a video in regards to how to fix this item. Bye referencing the model number given on to the microwave. I made a video too for my personal experience.?? 

Took off inner door molding with a butter knife and replaced the broken door latch hook with a new one 

Removed trim, Remove broken latch and replace. 

I located and ordered a new door latch from Appliance Parts Pros. I viewed an installation video online. The part arrived via Fed Ex on time. The repair took approximately 5 minutes and was very simple to implement. The microwave oven is back online. Thank you.
