How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4578789 / DC61-02627A Dryer Moisture Sensor

Took it apart and tested the thermal fuses, thermostat and heating element with a multimeter. Replaced the heating element and put on new black sticker sheet thing on the dryer barrel. 

First of all I did some research, then I decided to take it apart because I didn’t know exactly what everything could be wrong. And I discovered that the belt was broken so OK that was one thing then I decided to get the two little moisture sensors because they didn’t cost very much and I’ll see if that fixed it. And it did! 

By watching your video. 

The repair was very simple with a 1/4 nut driver, adjustable wrench, 15mm combination wrench, and a couple of screwdrivers. The drum support rollers completely failed and the idler wheel for the belt was locked. I referenced the repair video which made it very simple. It took about 1 hour total to repair and while it was apart I cleaned out all the internal vents and fan blades. It is super quiet again and working like new.

Searched for troubleshooting utube video..appliancepartspros video was spot on as I suspected a belt issue.. Ordered belt, idler, roller and extra drum roller (order extra triangular retaining clip if you do the same)...repair went well..little did I realize Parts pros and PROS are one in the same..I've ordered commercial parts for years from them..great job! 

Easy fix three screws and disconnect the sensors and put the new ones Olin and back to working 

The do it yourself video was AWESOME, it was very detailed and was easy to follow. 

We ordered a new heating element and new moisture sensors. It took taking the dryer completely apart to get to the heating element but thanks to a good friend, I now have a dryer back and no more long trips to a laundromat to dry our clothes. It only took about an hour to take the dryer apart and change the element and put the dryer back together.
