How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4140984 / DA32-00011C Refrigerator Temperature Sensor

Unplugged frig, removed shelves to get back panel off inside the frig compartment using a screwdriver and replaced temp sensor(part #DA32-00011C) located at the top left side. The sensor has a yellow cord, white tip, and blue plug and it was plugged in behind panel at the top left side and threaded through a clip up over the top of the black fan inside the panel and the white tip was stuffed through some styrofoam that faced the front center vent. I had to dig around a bit to pull out the old sensor from that styrofoam and place the new one. After replacing the sensor and plugging the frig back in I watched the outer display go back down to the temperature I had programmed (39 degrees). I even bought a temperature gauge to ensure the display was correct and it is still holding steady. Saved me from having to buy a whole new refrigerator. 

Ran diagnostic program as per Samsung, no faults found. Removed cover on the back of unit exposing the main circuit board. Measured the voltage at connectors for all temperature sensors. Refrigerator temperature sensor measurement indicated 80 degrees F when the actual temperature in the refrigerator was 17 degrees F as measured with a thermometer. Replaced refrigerator temperature sensor and the unit work fine, no more frozen items in refrigerator. 

So far so good..blinking is not there and its now normal not frozen at the ref anymore..will see... 

Replaced the temperature sensor and thawed the frozen lines with a blow dryer 

Used a longer metal tab that fits into the drain tube, this piece clips onto the heating element I got from AppliancePartsPros.com. I also changed sensors the fan motor, and the thermal fuse while taken apart. 

I watched the video on AppliancePartsPros.com first. Then determining where I would need to get at, ordered all the serviceable parts in that location. Two temperature sensors and the defrost sensor. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong part. After looking at the diagrams more closely, I found the right part and figured I may as well replace the fan motor when I'm in there again. AppliancePartsPros.com has helped me fix the dryer (heating element and temperature sensors), The dishwasher (Main board and touch panel) and one other refrigerator. I would have paid thousands or bought new appliances without their help. I keep coming back, because for a few dollars I can extend the life of my appliances way beyond expected lifespan and manufacturer warranty. 

I came across a conversation on your site discussing this very problem, matched the part number with the fridge model number, verified it was compatible (all of which you provided), watched the video attached to the part number, and decided to do the repair myself. After watching the video (which guided me through the process perfectly), I did the repair myself. The only problem I had was I couldn't remove the clip from the existing part so I just clipped the wires with a wire cutter holding it to the back panel cover because I was going to replace it anyway. Using the tools in the video, (Phillips screwdriver, small paint scraper, cutting blade - were all I needed. The fridge has worked perfectly since. 

Wow As far as parts identification these guys got some real brains, They've got everyone beat hands down, the repair videos are excellent. The parts are a little more expensive but well worth not having a headache, and they practically do the work for you. I'm a 38-year-old tech myself In the industrial field, These guys are top of line outfit. 

My fridge kept freezing food in the fresh food compartment even when it was set to the highest setting. Replaced the temperature sensor and it fixed the issue. 15-minute job.
