How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017818 / WPW10250667 Suspension Spring

By watching the video on YouTube, purchasing the proper part and ordering from appliancepartspro.com. the part came in very quick and it was a breeze after that. 

Easy fix. Took more time to clean the darn thing .Once I saw how dirty the outer tub was. The parts were a perfect fit! 

I researched the problem and found out that it was a counter balance spring. I also found a video on how to replace it and it seemed fairly easy to do. I found the part on your website, watched the video and voila! I fixed my first major appliance. I saved a service call, labor, and only paid around $3.50 for the part that I problem would have paid more for. 

The fix was a 5-minute job. I leaned the washer back and propped the front edge on a stable bucket. Reached under with pliers to remove the broken suspension spring. I decided to drill a new hole in the frame because the original hole was corroding. Installed the new spring. Done. Now the washer is so quiet. 

Tub was leaning to one side. Replaced the spring and all is good now. 

Replaced suspension springs (all 4) 

Replaced suspension pads and springs. 

I replaced all springs. Even the tiny one in the back that keeps the rear legs stabilized. Total time to replace springs might have been 15min. I'll recommend using a trampoline spring hook, or screwdriver, to pull the springs into place. 

I replaced the tub ring, the suspension springs, and the rear tub spring. The videos on the website were EXTREMELY helpful. I could have done it myself(as a DYIer) without the support. 

After watching the video that Appliance Parts Pros provided. I replace just about all parts that would cause the washing machine to shake and move. Their video on how to replace each part was better than any one I had seen on YouTube. I just want to thank them for providing just great service. Once all parts were replaced I tested it with an empty load it was great. I got behind on my washing and had several loads. The washer does better now then when I first bought it new. The only thing I can hear when doing a load on laundry it the agitator during the wash cycle. I can not hear it when it goes into the spin cycle. I can not say enough about the outstanding help Appliance Parts Pros video are when doing a repair.
