How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006371 / WP22003593 Washer Door Latch Assembly

Came through Hurricane Irma with lots of outside repairs needed. Then when electric and water service was restored, washer would not work.Because of more costs, I watched youtube video and decided to try it myself. Video is less than 10 minutes but it took me 9 hours! It came apart fine but putting back together was not easy for me. I am 70 years old and female with arthritic hands so younger would be good! She's back to humming like her old self now thanks to your video. AMEN! 

Replaced door latch assembly. Utube video helped me diagnose, determine the part to order, and replace.

Replaced door latch 

Replaced the lock mechanism above the door. 

I followed instructions provided in the repair video. 

Changed the door latch assembly. 

I put in a new door latch assembly, now it work wonderful. Just like new.
