We had retired this machine we bought in the 70's and bought a Pro 600 to replace it. My wife makes large batches (4 loaves) of bread twice a month. The Pro 600 is a large enough bowl to do that. But when we tried a large batch of pasta dough, the "Pro" machine started smoking the motor windings. I knew I needed to do something, and I remembered the older K5SS mixer used to handle that. I figured that replacing the phase control, the governor, and the speed plate, would renew the machine for a while. Replaced all of the parts, and she runs like a new one. Easy to do, and all the parts seemed to be exact replicas of the original parts. So thank you AppliancePartsPros.com!
