After diagnosing the noise problem as a possible Idler pulley I opened up the back of the dryer and saw the pulley was not spinning and as a result, the belt was pretty chewed up. I watched the repair videos for both items on AppliancePartsPro and thought it was something I could handle.
Parts arrived two days after order and I used the videos again to almost completely dismantle the dryer and install the new parts. Took about two hours for this beginner but it all went well. Cleaned out years of lint since I had it all apart, put it back together, and everything running smoothly.
AppliancePartsPros is my go-to source for all things appliance even if a fix does not require a new part. Their repair videos are spot on. Thanks, guys, saved me from buying a new set which the wife was angling for.
