Travis A Bloomington , IL August 02, 2017 Appliance: Kenmore Dryer 11095087402 Our kenmore he4t dryer was making an awful noise like we were drying bolts and screws I figured it was one of two things: The idler pulley or the drum support rollers. I ordered these parts and a belt (the dryer is about 13 years old). I watched the repair videos on this site and followed along step by step. After getting the dryer disassembled, I discovered that the source of the noise was one of the drum support rollers. The bearing had cracked and the wheel had completely come off of the bearing. I replaced all the parts that I had ordered and put it all back together and now we're back to the quiet hum we had been used to when drying our clothes! Read More... Austin O Naples , FL July 12, 2017 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL DRYER Felt wore out and rollers came apart I removed the top and back of the dryer to get to the drum. Removed it to replace all rollers, drum belt and tensioner. I pulled off the old felt seals, sanded surface with an electric drill and 3 inch scuz wheel down to the white paint. Wiped the area with brake clean and let dry. Followed the directions on the tube of adhesive and reglued new felt seals. Reassembled dryer and it works fine at this time. While the repair process is going on, I took the opportunity to vacuum out all the lint and dirt to prevent a fire.. All is good. Read More...
