Once you are putting the latch bracket into place, you have to pull on the plastic holder for the bracket pretty firmly to slide in the new bracket, so much that it seems like it will break. I used a hammer to pull on the latch connection site as it was difficulty to do it with my hands and I did not want to break the latch by pushing to hard. It also helped ease the connection, it took about 1 minute to fix. I was amazed how quick the appliance parts pros shipped my part.
