How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299744 / 8206230A Charcoal Filter

Someone gave me this microwave over the range unit and was missing a few parts/accessories so I went to AppliancePartsPro's website and entered my model number and was able to find everything I was missing. So I placed the order and everything was in stock and shipped right out. So now I have a complete Microwave / over the range hood that performs like a new one with all it accessories. 

Simply remove the top grille of unit pullout old and replace with new one, 

Replaced the parts and bulbs. 

I live in Hawaii. I phoned AppliancePartsPros.com on a Sunday and I got a live customer service rep to take my order for the replacement parts. By Wednesday I had the parts. I installed them and everything now works fine. 

Part arrived quick and repair was easy. 

Pulled the plug for the microwave. Gently pushed the glass portion back into the base in order to unscrew the base...did a few turns where I was able to grasp the base and remove it. Replaced the bulb with the power disconnected. Replaced the filter at the same time. Simply remove two screws at the top and replace the filter. Also very pleased with the fact that the parts were shipped very quickly! 

As recommended by ApplianceParts Pros----replaced the door! One of the easiest repairs I have ever made to an appliance!!!

Ordered the door from AppliancePartsPros.com, it came within a few days. After using live chat for assistance Nathan S. sent me a link to the YouTube video on how to remove and replace the door. We watched the video, followed along and had it all done with in a few short moments! The video was awesome, clear and easy to follow. Also replaced the filters while we had the grill removed. Our local store where we purchased the oven had been telling me the filters were too expensive and really didn't need to be replaced. They were less than 12.00 for both and really did need to be replaced after 6 years! Every time I called to schedule a service call, they would tell me it wasn't necessary to replace or clean the filters. Lazy! From now on I will order from AppliancePartsPros.com and do the repair myself (with help from the YouTube videos)! Awesome customer service via Live Chat. 

I noticed the holder was getting hot , so I replaced it with a new one and replaced the bulb as well
