T. Alan C Deatsville , AL October 28, 2014 There wasn't an error message the oven wouldn't heat the elements both check out it was in the control board Replaced the control board. The fan motor would run and the display showed that it was working but it wouldn't heat. Checked both elements and they were good. Light came on but no heat. At first I thought it was a fuse link but it also checked out ok. Easy to replace but make sure connections are tight. May have to tighten. Be careful with ribbon cable. Read More... Priscilla A Montevallo , AL August 11, 2014 E6 f2 error code I googled and searched the error code, which helped me to decide that I needed to replace the electronic control board. I watched your video and a video on youtube. The most difficult part was getting to the control board. My Whirlpool built-in double oven was not constructed exactly like the double oven on youtube. However, once we got to it, swapping the cables was easy. but wait, the oven still did not work. We re-read the control board instructions for hints and discovered that the wide band cable was loose. Once we made sure it was correctly inserted, we put everything back together and patted ourselves on the back (my husband, a good friend and myself). It took two strong men to slide the oven out in order to disassemble the top (my husband and a good friend). It took one woman (me) to read the instructions and follow them. Read More... Disassembled oven control after watching a few YouTube videos -- job was really rather easy. Attached new control unit one wire bundle at a time (with the old unit still installed to ensure correct connections) then turned power back on to confirm status. All was as advertised -- control unit fired right up and works like a charm. Order from AppliancePartsPros.com -- they will allow returns of electronic parts if you diagnose wrong. Got the new control in a day-and-a-half; the delivery speed was exceptional. Easy job -- do it yourself and save close to $500 by not calling a service tech. Read More...
