I previously replaced the coupling which I though was damaged by pureeing hot soup... maybe the problem was also in the dome and blade... damage to a bearing or something... anyhow, Kitchenaid blender up and running. A clear plastic coating on the plastic that holds the blender blades was beginning to come off i did not want to use the blades anymore I bought a replacement part. The blades came with a new gasket. I washed them are rebuilt the blender. The first time we used the new blades it was wonderful. the new blades are sharper and I am very happy with them. The dome and blade assembly in an easy fix. I ordered the coupler to have a spare when the old one strips out. Good company to do business with.
