How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3103517 / 4318165 Refrigerator Door Closer Cam Kit

First I Googled the problem, then watched the video on how to replace the parts! Success 

Ordered the bottom door cam kit and installed the new bottom cam pieces. 

I ordered the Door Closer Kit and followed the instructions given. I did the big fridge door first and it was really easy to do with the parts provided. In a couple of days I did the freezer door which had the water and electrical connections, but it was also very easy to do with the parts provided. Both doors now close on their own and seal like they did when new. 

Installed a door closure kit and it took about 15 minutes total time. 

Followed the repair video and found a detail that made it harder than needed to be. There is a threaded backing plate on the model we have. The bottom screw holds it in place. 

Replaced the lower door hinge and this corrected the problem. The door now closes like it did when it was new. 

Whirlpool does not make the replacement parts anymore. This universal kit worked. I just had to drill the hole bigger on one of the new plastic closer to fit. Universal kit works/replaces parts WP2307049 / AP6007182 and 2307048 / AP3996921 You need a star bit to get the door off.
