Based on troubleshooting and visual inspection of latch on door, i was pretty confident that latch kit would solve problem. THe part worked and the instructional video was very helpful. I completed the repair successfully. However, it did not fix problem. I am trying the fuse kit as that is most likely part failure. Fingers crossed.
