How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014069 / WP9760771 Elmnt-Brol

I ordered the part and watched the youtube on how to guide. It was rather easy task. 5 screws and replacement was done. Now broiler works just fine. 

Replace the part 

Tested found Broiler element to be defective. Ordered a replacement element from Appliance Parts PROs. Tried other 'discount' parts shops in the past only to get the wrong unit or 'universal' which means a bend here a bend there, which weakens the element and causes failure sooner. Very satisfied with Appliance Parts PROs products and quick delivery. 

Replaced broil and bake elements. Tips in video on website were helpful. The only reason I would rate this as a difficulty level of 2 is because if I were do it again, I would remove the oven door first. Other than having to reach over and around the door, the repair was very easy. 

Replaced the element 

Phillips screwdriver. Unscrew screws holding old element, pull out old element, unplug the wire on each end of the old element. Reverse to install new element. 

Removed the five screws securing the broiler element to the cabinet, gently pulled the ends of the element out from the back of the cabinet and disconnected the wires. Reversed the process to install the new element. Only tool needed is a screwdriver. 

- Sprayed P-Blaster (or Liquid Wrench) on top screws. Let sit for ten minutes. - Unscrewed top and rear screws. - Pulled lightly on element. Wires (with sufficient lead) came out easily with it. - Plugged in new element and screwed in. 

Ordered replacement part. 

It was simple to replace. I had ordered screws just in case I need to replace them but the screws came a day latter than the element (not sure why they did not ship in the same box)
