How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030932 / W10823704 Surface Heating Element (Top Burner)

Replaced it using part ordered and following directions included in package along with a YouTube video I found 

Replaced the back burner. 

Replaced inop burner, took longer to clean up the old cooktop seal. 

First switched coils to confirm issue was with coil. It was; ordered new coil. Some difficulty finding correct part number to order. Replaced coil with help of Youtube and instructions that came with new coil. Together very complete info. 

Found the new one not similar to the old one as it was minus a male plug on the element next to the limiter. Talked to a chairperson who after much back and forth sent me out a new one. Unbelievable, I received the new one the following day. However it's the same as the first. I then went back to your site and researched the element some more and found that the replacement has eliminated two of the six wires and I need only to plug in four wires to the limiter. Thanks for the help and please send me a return label so I can send one of them back to you. Tom McPhee PS the instruction sheet was not very good and does not mention no need for 6 wires only 4. 

Replaced with a new burner. Remember to look at the bottom of the burner connection for the wiring information. Replace one wire at a time. 

Bought a new one and replaced it but discovered the infanate switch is no good. Element stays on high so now waiting for that part. 

I followed the included directions and the repairs went without any issues. 

Replaced the burner .. 

Just replace the new one into the stoves.
