How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030937 / W10823715 Surface Heating Element (Top Burner)

Ordered the element on 12/8 it was shipped on 12/9 and on my doorstep when i got home from work on the 12/11. 2 screws to lift the top surface and four sheet metal screws that needed a small socket to remove burner. small needle nose pliers to help pull off electrical connections and put back in the way it came out. piece of cake. oh yeah unplug it 1st. couldn't see paying anyone to do that. very very satisfied with the whole process. 

Replacing the element is the only way. 

Firstly I have to thank our AMANA glass top range that allow us to cook so many kinds of foods since year 2005. it runs great and it is easy to clean. Only the other day my wife was shouting at me that one of the burner does not respond. I simply told her lets buy a new one but my wife insisted on replacing the bad element. I then surfed the internet by looking for part number and i just fund the part on appliancepartspro.com. i cannot believe it because our range is kind of out dated. I place the order and it arrived 3 days later. The rest is simple. only 4 pairs of screws need to be un- and re-screwed with a Philip and a plier. It takes less than 10 minutes. I ordered the parts, they came to me in two days and I followed the instructions sent with the parts and repaired the both myself. 

My repair was very easy just took out a few screws and unplug some wires and in about an hour I was done. 

I watched the video and simply followed the instructions. It went flawlessly, took less than 15 minutes, and the new burner works wonderfully. No problem. 

Followed the "how to" instructions on the site and the repair was the breeze. It took about 15 mins to complete. 

Went to UTube, and typed make and model with heat element replace. 

I just open the screws, hook it up with adj wrench. Important my le never touch ground.
