How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030942 / W10823720 Surface Element (Top Burner)

I tried to reconnect the broken element but it opened in another spot. So I replaced the entire burner with a new one. Connection of wires to the burner was the same as old burner except for the connection to the limiter so I made the spade connector a little wider to fit over. 

Ordered new burner and replaced. 

WATCHED A UTUBE VIDEO AND REPLACED THE ELEMENT. 

I found a video that showed it step by step. I ordered a new one and it showed up the next day. 20 minute job to replace it. I saved hundreds on a service call. 

I couldn´t find the elements in my country, so I decide to explore in internet, and I did find it. Today (06/04/201) I received at last the elements, so the person that is going to fix it is coming tomorrow morning. I´m so happy because I have been cooking just with the two small ones.
