How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005519 / WP12656018 End Cap, Pantry (Rh)

Ordered new door and both side panels 

By myself, just took it apart and put the new part on and Bingo it was done 

Replaced this part for the second time. Quick job! Just need a nut driver and Philips head screwdriver. Very straightforward, just pay attention to how you take it apart. 

Took the panel out and replaced with the new one. It took about 45 minutes to complete the job. Thank you for sending the right part. 

Order the right side mount from Appliancepartspros.com and replaced. 

It’s a very easy install. Unscrew the old door bracket remove and move some pieces onto the new bracket and screw it in. 

As very helpful YouTube video can be found. Very easy repair after that. 

My wife wanted to replace the part. Took the dog for a walk and when I came back she was having a issue removing the back horizontal plate from the end cap. Showed her how that was done. Other than that minor issue; the process wasn't that difficult. 

I was going to call a repairman but after seeing the picture of the end cap and reading the repair descriptions I decided I could do it myself. It was relatively easy after figuring out how the temperature control mechanism fit into the end cap and connected to the rear of the fridge. You have to be careful with the mechanism so you don't break it. Also not that there are two screws that attach it to the rear of the fridge and that the slider has to be pushed to the right to access the screws. The end cap was an exact fit and just like the original. I received the part in 2 days. The price was very reasonable. 

Easy repair, and disassembly/reassembly made sense as I went along. Rehab saved quite a bit over a new fridge. Most project time was spent cleaning around the parts I removed...
