How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016381 / WPW10179146 Water Inlet Valve

I change the water inlet valve. Work perfectly 

Replaced main bearing w/ bearing replacement parts and bearing replacement kit. the main complication was that it was very hard to get the lower bearing washer to stay seated against the bearing spacer during bearing compression. 

I did my research on Appliance Pros and watched the different videos so I could be certain that I needed to replace the right part. I replaced the water and ice valve in one part. It was way too easy. One I pulled the refer from the wall I used a flat head screwdriver and removed the part. Then I loosened the water lines. Then removed the connectors. I put everything back on in order, then turned the water back on. And no leaking. Way too easy!

Repair was simple. The replacement part was an exact duplicate. Only complicated thing (which wasn't complicated at all, but was new to me) was the push-in tubing connectors. Took 10 minutes, total.There's a good video on Youtube, which will boost your confidence.
