How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5983563 / EDR3RXD1 Whirlpool Everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 3

The existing motor would come on when you pushed the door paddle for ice, but ice would not dispense. Determined there was an issue in the drivetrain. Had to replace the motor and gearbox assembly for the ice dispenser driveshaft. Also found a cracked driveshaft seal where the shaft enters the freezer compartment. Replacement parts fit perfect and now dispensing ice! 

Watched a video online and got into it. Very simple !!

Now I don’t have to go to the store to get bottle water. I like that having to dispose of the bottles. I use the filter that you provide. Easier and better 

Replaced the water filter, and installed a new shelf to replace the missing one. Took apart ice bucket to replace broken one.
