How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013245 / WP8559751 Door Handle

Dismantled door, replaced new handle...All Set. 

Replaced the Door Handle. 

I ordered the part from you guys and got it in less than a week. Kinda expensive just glad to get it for an older model. 8 screws out pulled the door apart 2 more screws to remove the handle and replace the handle. 2 screws back in reassemble the door 8 screws back in. Done. Thank you for having the part! 

Perfect fit. Took Less than five minutes to remove and replace old broken handle with new handle. Thank you so much!!!! 

DIY. 

I went on Google and searched for a dryer door replacement handle for the model and make dryer and applianceparstpros.com came up with the exact part in stock. Six screws later the door has a new handle. 

Opened dryer door and removed many screws. Removed door bezel and put some of the screws back in door. Removed two screws holding handle to bezel and installed new handle. Reinstalled door bezel and checked fit. 

Easy! Followed the directions someone else had posted, Remember don’t remove the hex head screws because they are the ones that hold the glass in place. 

With the help of your repair help.. 

I used a drill with two different sized phillips bits and a star bit. You do not need the star bit but I removed the glass partitions and cleaned that while the dryer door was disassembled. There is one longer phillips screw it belongs on the top of the door handle. Note if you have a dryer as old as mine you should clean the lint from the machine by taking the front panel off and removing the lint. I replaced the heating element a week ago which entailed removing the front panel and was surprised at the amount of lint I had to remove from the chassey. A fire hazard I was unaware of at the time.
