How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010514 / WP67006524 Water Filter Head And Tube Assembly

Very easy fix. 

I used the info on your website to identify the problem and watched the video. It appeared that my skill set was adequate so I ordered a replacement filter head. Part arrived the second day after the order. We emptied the refrigerator and pulled it out from the wall. I replaced the filter head in 15 minutes, and we then cleaned under, behind, and inside the unit. My wife was happy, and I was happy. total time 3 hours. 

Whole assembly was cracked. Your site had a YouTube video on what the issue was, how to remove the cracked (original) part, and install the replacement part. The repair only took 23-minutes, start to finish. Thank you! 

The filter worked if I held it in place, but if let go it took in air and made noises and a very spotty stream. The repair video was informative so I followed it and replaced the filter head and the stream is great now. 

Ordered replacement housing, received in 2 days. Only took 15 minutes to replace. Working great again! 

This was the easiest repair I have ever done. I replaced the part quickly (see Youtube videos) and I am back in operation. 

I installed a new water filter first to eliminate that as the source of the problem. The problem persisted, so I ordered and installed both a new water filter head and a new dual water inlet valve. Everything works fine now. I suspect it may only have been the water filter head that was bad, but the fridge is 10+ years old and I figured I might as well do both components to be sure, and that way I wouldn't have to worry about the valve going bad later. The online videos were very helpful. 

I watched the youtube video and replaced the part within 30 minutes. 

Remove and replace Water Filter Head and, Dual water Inlet Valve. 

Replaced filter head. Easy job went well works fine now.
